My growing up years were with Liz. Born next door but one to each other two years apart we were great friends with a love of horses and later on, music. We spent so much time in each other’s company and never a cross word as far as I can remember. Our shared love of music (and harmonies) were Queen, Genesis, Manfred Mann and many more of that era. We were going to be big in the music world. Liz progressed further than me with her musical talents, mine were just pipe dreams. With so many years of memories it’s difficult to pick just one but the most prominent were “playing horses”’ through the willow trees out in the back field, playing back against your house wall, your mum calling you in for piano practice and learning guitar with my brother in law Dave. Liz, my lifelong friend, I loved you for being my friend, not just through childhood and adolescence but for sharing all the same memories of so many years… my family, your family, our lives. Nameste my dear friend. Forever loved… Never ever forgotten.
